Flavor needs to be blended with honey or fruits since it is a bit distasteful on its own. it does work to give you energy if you follow instructions and if you don’t have issues with knees and ankles
I drink a lot of tea, but never really tried matcha outside of coffee shop drinks. I do love gyokuro and after realizing matcha is more or less ground gyokuro I was excited to give it a try.First thing I was surprised at was although the jar is extremely tiny considering the price, it is packed in there good. After my first drink it still looked completely full by most standards. The taste was better than expected. I was expecting a more intense gyokuro flavor since it’s ground into the drink instead of steeped, but it was surprisingly mild. Although I typically never drink my tea like this, I made it with milk and sugar at a friends recommendation and it was so good! The best part is I felt exactly as it advertised. I felt energized and awake, but without the jittery feeling I get when I drink a lot of coffee. The only downside to this product is the price is pretty steep. Gyokuro leaves are pricey in general due to how they’re grown, so this will have to be an occasional treat for me.
If you are also hopelessly addicted to matcha lattes, then this is a great addition to your arsenal! I'm a fan of Apothekary, and honestly looked forward to trying this out (or more I wanted to try a matcha that's fused with chlorella. Health nuts will testify how hard chlorella is to take in powdered form!). First thing I like is how there's so much matcha that it's tightly packed to the very top of the jar. They didn't cut any corners and fill it so it gaps at the opening, so you're getting exactly 2.1 ounces of product. The flavor is weaker than typical matcha but it still has that unmistakable grassy and sweet taste to it. It blends so smoothly and didn't need to whisk too much. Making a nice latte was as easy as mixing the powder with hot water and topping it with some frothed up half and half and almond milk, so you can pretty much make it as normal. Same for bubble teas! You really can't taste the ginseng or the chlorella, all you taste is the matcha. Speaking of which, I can understand not using tried and true superfood ashwagandha in exchange for siberian ginseng. Both are good options to possibly reduce stress and anxiety, and at least the ginseng tastes a lot better. Chlorella I feel was added to truly improve the color due to the use of pea protein, coconut milk powder, and acacia fiber to more likely improve the mixability and texture of the end product. But just assuming. In any case, this is quite delicious and gives you easy and creamy drinks in every try. For something different, this is still nice to try. However due to the hefty value, waiting for a sale could be the most ideal time to get your matcha on!
It's been a while since I have taken Matcha powder and was thrilled to be able to review and try again! I have been taking daily now for a week and drink alone with cold water ( about eight ounces ) or in my smoothies and either way it's refreshing and I have been feeling great with more energy. When I wake before leaving for work I add a tablespoon in cold water and use my small hand frother and it dissolves perfectly, I can easily drink by itself without juice or milk and I feel refreshed after.I am so happy I was given the opportunity to review this product, perfect for the new year and my health and energy!
Used this for the first time before a 5K event, and even in my advanced age, I beat my personal best by 2 minutes. Did it help or was it a placebo? Hard to say, but I did feel great and energetic without a buzzy caffeine high. Taste is really not that bad, and I just put it in water.
This matcha is okay. I'm not a huge fan of matcha, but decided to give this brand a chance. It takes okay, not the best but there are worse out there. It mixes well. I see that a few reviews mentions how it doesn't mix well in cold water. As with majority of powder drinks, that's normal. I add a little to my black raspberry and red raspberry smoothie and it doesn't alter the flavor too badly. However, for 2 ounces the price is really high. It doesn't taste *that* great to pay the price for it.
I ordered this matcha powder to add to my morning smoothie. It blends pretty easily, but it doesn't dissolve well into more watery beverages. It tastes great if you love the flavor of matcha!
